Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A, Entertainment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and oversee the monthly FP&A close, ensuring alignment of actual results with budget and forecast.

• Conduct a thorough analysis of P&L performance, pinpointing variance drivers and trends through comprehensive financial analysis.

• Lead efforts in revenue recognition compliance and monitoring, collaborating closely with the Accounting team.

• Execute and review Work in Progress (WIP) reconciliations to ensure accurate revenue and cost matching across projects and time periods.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning cycles, and capital/WIP projections.

• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and in-depth reviews to facilitate strategic decision-making.

• Serve as a quality control layer between accounting outputs and FP&A insights.

• Examine financial data for integrity across systems, general ledgers, and reporting tools.

• Verify cost allocations, such as salaries, project expenses, and operating costs.

• Aid and confirm the month-end close process, ensuring precision in accrued and deferred revenue.

• Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models and reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or a combination of Accounting and Finance roles.

• Strong practical knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 / IFRS 15).

• Demonstrated success in conducting WIP reconciliations, project accounting analysis, and aligning revenue with costs.

• Advanced skills in financial analysis, variance analysis, and understanding of core financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

• Proficient in Excel, with capabilities in financial modeling, complex reconciliations, and data analysis.

• Prior experience in a shared services or multi-entity environment is advantageous.
