Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with FP&A leadership to advance strategic initiatives, special projects, and ongoing enhancements within the FP&A function.

• Lead the creation and upkeep of advanced financial models, KPI dashboards, and reporting packages for forecasting and strategic planning purposes.

• Manage the monthly variance analysis process and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

• Facilitate the annual budgeting process by coordinating with regional controllers, department heads, and senior leadership.

• Collaborate with Practice and Regional leaders to prepare, analyze, and interpret monthly financial results.

• Work alongside the accounting team to identify and rectify discrepancies.

• Monitor and report on crucial financial metrics and KPIs for the global organization.

• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting financial health.

• Prepare materials for Board of Directors meetings.

• Assist with lender reporting through covenant compliance schedules, borrowing base calculations, and other credit-agreement requirements.

• Address inquiries from investors and shareholders with financial data and ad hoc analyses.

• Support due diligence activities.

• Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and economic indicators.

• Act as a finance partner to Sales, Marketing, Operations, and HR.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or an equivalent qualification is advantageous.

• Experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, budgeting, mergers and acquisitions, or investment banking.

• Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems, as well as advanced Excel and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with SQL, PowerBI, Datarails, or other FP&A planning tools is a plus.

• Strong analytical and modeling capabilities.

• Ability to convert complex financial data into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Skill in articulating complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

• Strong initiative and team management skills.
