Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the monthly and quarterly corporate forecasting process as well as the annual operating planning cycle.

• Take ownership of and communicate the Finance forecast calendar.

• Collaborate with Finance & Strategy teams to enhance forecast accuracy.

• Produce monthly forecast and reporting packages that include essential business metrics, P&L, and headcount.

• Identify and highlight risks and opportunities.

• Manage consolidated forecasts for income statements, cash flow, and balance sheets.

• Partner with Finance Systems to uphold financial planning tools and aid in the development of AI-driven financial data and systems.

• Lead the long-term planning process and model.

• Ensure alignment of the financial model with strategic priorities and key business assumptions.

• Oversee the preparation of board materials, executive leadership financial reviews, and CFO financial reporting.

• Serve as a cross-functional liaison to promote stakeholder alignment and consistent implementation of changes.

• Provide support for ad hoc reporting and analysis to facilitate business decision-making.

• Advocate for and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles as the company expands globally and into new offices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Strategic Finance or FP&A.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Strong skills in financial modeling and analysis.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets.

• Skills in PowerPoint / Google Slides.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional, and fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to senior management.

• Proactive, highly organized self-starter capable of working independently under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

• Strong problem-solving mindset with a curiosity for applying AI in finance processes.

• Proven track record of delivering iterative improvements and measurable outcomes.

• Industry experience in SaaS-based technology companies is preferred.

• Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Glean, and Cursor; Databricks; and FP&A tools like Workday Adaptive Planning or similar planning systems and NetSuite.
