This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the Finance Manager to assist in the financial management operations of the credit union.
• Aid in the creation and consolidation of forecasts and long-term financial strategies.
• Examine variances and offer actionable insights to business leaders.
• Work alongside department heads to assess assumptions and enhance financial predictability.
• Construct financial models, management reporting packages, dashboards, and forecasting tools.
• Utilize financial systems, business intelligence tools, automation solutions, and emerging AI technologies.
• Spot opportunities for workflow improvements, dashboard development, and advanced data analytics.
• Encourage the adoption of modern finance technologies, including Power BI, SQL, Power Platform, AI-assisted analytics tools, and related solutions.
• Assist in managing the balance sheet, liquidity monitoring, cash flow analysis, investment portfolio reporting, and financial forecasting.
• Aid with interest rate risk analysis, scenario modeling, and asset/liability management initiatives.
• Provide regular and ad hoc analysis to inform financial performance and capital allocation.
• Contribute to enterprise risk management through financial analysis, risk reporting, and periodic assessments.
• Assess business investments through ROI modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and performance evaluation.
• Deliver insights on product-level profitability for pricing, growth, and strategic decision-making.
• Conduct general ledger analysis and reconciliation, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
• Maintain and revise financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, internal guidelines, and banking/credit union regulations.
• Collaborate with organizational leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging technologies.
• Identify areas for process enhancement, reporting capabilities, and financial performance improvements.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Over 4 years of experience in a finance role within a bank or credit union, including familiarity with FP&A, treasury, ALM, liquidity management, profitability analysis, financial reporting, or similar areas.
• Proven experience in developing financial models, forecasts, budgets, management reporting, and business performance analysis.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and financial modeling capabilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, adapt to evolving business needs, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Familiarity with financial systems, data management tools, and reporting platforms.
• Experience using technology to enhance financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, or process efficiency.
• Proficiency with business intelligence, analytics, automation, or reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Power Platform, Copilot, or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated curiosity and openness to adopting emerging technologies, automation solutions, and AI-assisted tools.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Candidates must reside in the United States.
