Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning activities, which include budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Evaluate financial performance across various departments to pinpoint trends, risks, and areas for improvement.

• Conduct and supervise reconciliations of advertising revenue.

• Compile and deliver financial reports that encompass revenue analysis, expense management, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.

• Partner with department leaders and cross-functional teams to offer financial insights.

• Maintain, enhance, and optimize financial models.

• Direct the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.

• Utilize Prophix or similar financial planning and analysis software for consolidation, budgeting, and reporting purposes.

• Lead ad-hoc financial analyses for high-impact projects and critical decisions made by senior management.

• Streamline financial reporting and analysis processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.

• 4-6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.

• Demonstrated expertise in revenue reconciliations, ideally in a media or advertising industry context.

• Strong proficiency in Prophix or other financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Hyperion) is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with NetSuite or another ERP tool.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage complex financial data and deliver actionable insights.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
