Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning activities, which include budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Evaluate financial performance across various departments to identify trends, risks, and potential areas for improvement.

• Conduct and supervise reconciliations of advertising revenue.

• Create and deliver financial reports that encompass revenue analysis, expense management, and key performance indicators to senior management.

• Work in collaboration with department heads and cross-functional teams to furnish financial insights that align with business objectives and strategic goals.

• Maintain, refine, and optimize financial models.

• Guide the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.

• Utilize Prophix or similar financial planning and analysis software for consolidation, budgeting, and reporting purposes.

• Lead financial analyses for high-impact projects and assist in senior management decision-making.

• Drive enhancements in financial reporting and analysis processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.

• 4-6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally in a senior or lead capacity.

• Established expertise in revenue reconciliations, preferably within the media or advertising industry.

• Strong proficiency with Prophix or other financial planning tools (such as Adaptive Insights, Hyperion) is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with NetSuite or other ERP systems.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (like Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of managing complex financial data and delivering actionable insights.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders effectively.

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
