Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Coordinate, supervise, and produce financial analyses that support business processes, accounting, revenue growth, expense management, and issue resolution.

• Identify potential opportunities for enhancing revenue, managing expenses, and improving processes.

• Create financial tools and templates that bolster business processes, enhance analytical capabilities, and facilitate activity tracking.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of analytical processes and targets.

• Ensure that all work is conducted in a manner that is auditable.

• Review, refine, and automate departmental procedures to enhance workflow efficiency.

• Foster finance and business partner relationships to grasp needs and deliver actionable analyses.

• Analyze productivity, clinical throughput, and operational efficiency within hospital and clinic environments.

• Develop and sustain dashboards, scorecards, and reports that monitor KPIs such as patient volumes, cost per encounter, and contribution margins.

• Leverage Vizient benchmarking tools to evaluate performance against peers and pinpoint areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and executive leadership to interpret data effectively.

• Conduct variance analyses and root cause investigations related to performance and service line profitability.

• Present findings in a clear and concise manner to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• Travel may be necessary; adhere to job-specific responsibilities and organizational policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Required).

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience (Required).

• Preference for healthcare experience in a hospital setting.

• Experience in analyzing productivity, clinical throughput, and operational efficiency in hospital and clinic environments.

• Proficiency in developing and maintaining dashboards, scorecards, and reports for tracking KPIs.

• Familiarity with Vizient benchmarking tools.

• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.

• Experience in extracting and analyzing data from Epic (Clarity/Caboodle) and StrataJazz.

• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of PivotTables and intermediate to advanced formulas.

• Expertise in financial analysis, interpersonal communication, multitasking, professional presentation, and working independently.

• Must be able to work in the Eastern Standard Time zone / East Coast resident.
