This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Gather and analyze data from various organizational units.
• Develop recommendations for financial strategies and analyses.
• Generate financial forecasts to aid in both short- and long-term decision-making.
• Offer support, development, and leadership guidance to volunteers.
• Evaluate and review cases submitted by Domestic Disaster Cycle Services for adherence to policies and guidelines.
• Create, implement, and sustain automated systems and processes to efficiently and accurately assess thousands of cases.
• Conduct and document financial analysis projects that range from moderate to complex in nature.
• Formulate, interpret, and apply financial concepts for planning and control purposes.
• Deliver monthly reports and analyses regarding revenue and/or expenses.
• Oversee operating budget processes and allocations.
• Analyze current and future performance metrics.
• Develop and uphold financial policies, procedures, and systems.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
• CPA certification may be preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Understanding of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Basic proficiency in personal computers, including word-processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to work fully remotely from any location in the United States.
• Willingness to travel and attend meetings and conferences throughout the Red Cross system.
• Capability to remain seated at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
