Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +40 more states.

📋 Description

• Serve as a strategic partner to various internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide data and analytical support to further the unit’s healthcare objectives.

• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, regulatory documentation, and financial packages.

• Develop and adjust SQL code and scripts to yield accurate, actionable insights from complex datasets.

• Oversee and validate data from diverse sources utilizing SQL Server Management Studio.

• Convey processes and requirements effectively to both business and technical personnel.

• Leverage SQL to identify and analyze trends, empowering leadership to respond to trends and anomalies.

• Generate intricate ad hoc reports through SQL and Excel, along with creating new reports as necessary.

• Optimize processes and pinpoint opportunities for cost and time efficiencies.

• Guarantee accuracy of premiums through reconciliation reporting.

• Represent the finance team in planning and provider meetings as required.

• Comprehend and communicate business drivers and market trends.

• Support project teams as a subject matter expert.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL or other database query languages (Intermediate to Advanced), and/or 3+ years in financial planning and analysis.

• At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced).

• Practical experience with generative AI to boost productivity, automate routine tasks, and enhance decision-making capabilities.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and escalate issues appropriately.

• Must reside in the United States.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Preferred degrees include Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Math, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
