Investment Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Prepare materials, monitor LP discussions, and craft communications to support capital formation.

• Compose updates, recaps, and outreach materials for LPs.

• Maintain the LP pipeline following each meeting.

• Create fund presentations, one-pagers, data room documents, and newsletters.

• Develop market maps, thematic research, and investment theses.

• Conduct primary research calls with operators, customers, and experts.

• Assist with market sizing, benchmarking, financial analysis, and investment memos.

• Coordinate diligence processes, data requests, and document tracking.

• Ensure deal materials, term sheets, and cap tables are up-to-date.

• Translate meetings into precise recaps.

• Draft materials for LPs, founders, and co-investors requiring minimal editing.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, startup operations, or strategy, or within a founder's office.

• Direct experience with fundraising, investor relations, or LP communications.

• Outstanding written English and the ability to establish credibility on calls with senior investors.

• Strong foundation in financial modeling, market sizing, competitive analysis, and accounting principles.

• Familiarity with term sheets, cap tables, and diligence processes.

• Proficient in Claude, ChatGPT, Notion, and no-code automation tools.

• Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.

• Keen investment judgment; capable of forming opinions, keeping track of details, and completing tasks.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, and maintain directness, honesty, and composure under pressure.

• Willingness to check in during weekends and outside regular hours when necessary.
