This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Report directly to the VP of Finance and act as the analytical backbone for a growing private equity firm in real estate.
• Develop and uphold budgets and financial models across operating companies, funds, and individual projects.
• Construct and sustain annual operating budgets, long-term forecasts, and project-specific development budgets.
• Manage the monthly and quarterly rolling re-forecast processes and ensure accurate reconciliation of budget versions.
• Prepare consolidated and entity-level cash flow forecasts, which include 13-week corporate forecasts, as well as 1- and 5-year projections and capital funding schedules.
• Develop project-level development and operating pro formas, fund-level models featuring distribution waterfalls and carried interest calculations, along with the operating company model.
• Underwrite both acquisition and development opportunities while preparing analyses for the investment committee.
• Conduct sensitivity, scenario, and stress-test analyses.
• Model various debt and capital structure alternatives, including loan sizing, refinancing options, and covenant metrics.
• Generate monthly and quarterly reporting packages, variance analyses, and provide commentary on key drivers, risks, and recommended actions.
• Monitor job costs and track committed, incurred, and remaining budgets in collaboration with accounting and development teams.
• Build and maintain FP&A data infrastructure, enhance database queries, and automate recurring reports using Azure, Power Query, Power BI, Python, or similar tools.
• Ensure data quality and reconcile reporting data with the general ledger.
• Collaborate with accounting, development, construction, and asset management teams while supporting requests from lenders and investors.
• This position is exclusively available to candidates located in Mexico City.
• 4–8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, real estate investment, or corporate finance.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in real estate development or multifamily projects.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to build complex multi-entity models from scratch, perform dynamic scenario and sensitivity analyses, and execute waterfall and return calculations.
• Proficient in data analytics and database management, with a strong background in SQL/Azure and hands-on experience with BI and automation tools like Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, or Python.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and real estate accounting principles, including job cost accounting, capitalization, consolidations, and fund structures.
• Understanding of multi-entity structures, joint ventures, distribution waterfalls, and investor allocations.
• Experience with Intuit Enterprise Suite, bill.com, or similar accounting and AP platforms is an advantage.
• Exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to identify inaccuracies in data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the capability to translate detailed analyses into clear recommendations for executives and investors.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• A Master's degree or MBA from a prestigious institution and a CFA charter are highly desirable.
