Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Manage a complete portfolio of clients from start to finish

• Develop dynamic financial models consisting of three statements: income, balance sheets, and cash flows

• Update models monthly based on clients' actual outcomes and identify issues related to margins and cash flow

• Address inquiries and requests from clients and prospective investors, integrating their feedback into models

• Compare client metrics with industry and sector benchmarks

• Create and test various scenarios for each model and regularly evaluate assumptions

• Conduct monthly reporting and variance analysis

• Design and maintain KPI dashboards

• Keep 3-statement forecasts up to date

• Oversee and predict cash flow

• Report directly to the FP&A Manager while collaborating with senior partners and the managing partner

• Work closely with clients and investor stakeholders during meetings and board preparations

• Utilize platforms such as Shopify, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Glew.io, Amazon Seller/Vendor, Rippling, and Gusto

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance (at least 60 months)

• Proven ability to build and maintain 3-statement financial models using Microsoft Excel

• Good understanding of US GAAP

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, along with a professional qualification: CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, or an MBA in Finance

• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment such as a Big 4 firm, major consulting firm, equity research, investment banking/M&A, or a comparable FP&A team in a scaling company

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Capacity to work independently without continuous supervision

• Willingness and ability to work the evening/overnight India shift long-term, with an overlap of approximately 6:00am–2:00pm Pacific Time
