Senior Financial Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage general accounting functions, focusing on expense and balance sheet accounts.

• Ensure complete ownership of the accuracy and logical coherence of assigned tasks while adhering to internal controls.

• Engage in monthly and quarterly closing processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses.

• Assist with lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842, covering expirations, renewals, and period-end adjustments.

• Maintain and revise corporate debt schedules for debt instruments and credit facilities, incorporating interest accruals and fee calculations.

• Supervise or aid in the fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization reviews, depreciation tracking, roll-forwards, and retirement processing.

• Prepare disclosure schedules for quarterly and annual financial reporting.

• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, and Legal teams to enhance financial workflows and address operational challenges.

• Take part in departmental projects and initiatives.

• Execute other assigned or requested responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in accordance with US GAAP.

• At least 1 year of experience with cloud-based accounting software (Oracle Fusion is advantageous).

• Advanced skills in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables.

• Comprehensive understanding and practical application of accrual accounting principles under US GAAP.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for identifying trends, anomalies, and root causes.

• Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized, demonstrating strong project management capabilities.

• Skilled in time management, task prioritization, and meeting tight deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• A BA or BS degree in accounting or a related field is required.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Experience with Big 4 firms is preferred.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.

• Ability to sit for extended periods and manage long durations of screen time.
