
Senior Finance Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Oversee the programming, planning, and execution of intricate projects.
β’ Ensure that projects adhere to scope, timelines, budgets, and comply with program objectives and governmental regulations.
β’ Serve as the intermediary among clients, operational leaders, consultants, contractors, vendors, regulatory bodies, project teams, customers, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
β’ Execute project intake, assemble project teams, articulate objectives and scope, document processes, create schedules, identify risks and assumptions, and supervise workflows and implementation.
β’ Provide guidance and direction in client relations, project development, strategic decision-making, and defining scope and deliverables.
β’ Lead significant strategic and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
β’ Oversee the design and framework of key departmental projects and initiatives.
β’ Direct and manage project managers along with project and senior project coordinators.
β’ Mentor fellow project managers and project/senior project coordinators.
β’ Coordinate project budget targets, monitor status, and address issue resolution.
β’ Foster and maintain stakeholder relationships while balancing internal and external interests.
β’ Propel change across physician groups, harmonizing clinical, academic, and research interests.
β’ Organize and finalize projects; monitor milestones, deadlines, responsibilities, and overall progress.
β’ Successfully deliver multiple concurrent projects of varying sizes.
β’ Create comprehensive project plans and complete necessary documentation.
β’ Define project scope, duration, resources, costs, and methodologies.
β’ Conduct kick-off meetings and clearly communicate project roles and expectations.
β’ Manage work plans, report on project status, tackle issues, and pinpoint risks and escalations.
β’ Organize post-project reviews and lessons-learned sessions.
β’ Ensure timely project communications, including presentations for executive leadership.
β’ Prepare auditable project documents, cost estimates, reports, and budgets for senior management.
β’ Monitor project budget targets and vendor relationships.
β’ Integrate Lean practices into project management.
β’ Assist in formulating policies, guidelines, and standards while representing the department in committees and professional organizations.
β’ Implement quality control measures to comply with hospital, university, governmental, regulatory, OSHPD, and Joint Commission standards.
β’ Facilitate project planning workshops to create charters, finalize scope, identify deliverables, and establish schedules and critical paths.
β’ Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible and related professional experience is required.
β’ Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions while adhering to time-sensitive deadlines.
β’ Capable of exercising judgment and demonstrating effectiveness in decision-making situations.
β’ Proficient in presenting facts and recommendations effectively in both oral and written formats.
β’ Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents.
β’ Proficient in report writing using original or innovative styles and techniques.
β’ Capable of identifying issues, risks, and escalations, assembling data, validating conclusions, and integrating resolutions.
β’ Strong understanding of medical and non-medical equipment, along with organizational programs and procedures.
β’ Basic experience with preparing business cases and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
β’ Expertise in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio) and Microsoft SharePoint.
β’ Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera, and other PPM software tools.
β’ Proven track record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
β’ Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
β’ Superior supervisory and matrix management capabilities.
β’ Advanced skills in identifying, developing, and quantifying corrective action plans.
β’ Experience in workshop design and facilitation.
β’ Lean Six Sigma Certification is preferred.
β’ PMP - Project Management Professional certification is preferred.
