Senior Finance Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and consistently enhance scalable financial frameworks, methodologies, controls, and standardized processes.

• Take ownership of the complete invoice reconciliation process, invoice handling, and vendor invoice compliance.

• Ensure detailed project cost tracking and attribution across various cost centers.

• Generate monthly management reports, quarterly rolling forecasts, and financial packages for quarterly business reviews.

• Spearhead commercial finance initiatives, including pricing strategies, business case formulation, cost analysis, and profitability evaluations.

• Manage the revenue cycle for client-billable work, encompassing deliverable tracking, invoicing, and accounts receivable oversight.

• Oversee cash flow and liquidity planning in collaboration with Holtzbrinck Treasury.

• Assist Founders and the Head of Operations with financial analysis, scenario modeling, and decision-making support.

• Discover opportunities to automate and enhance finance workflows, reporting, and data quality utilizing modern tools and AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in finance operations, FP&A, controlling, commercial finance, or a similar finance position.

• Comprehensive knowledge of financial statements, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

• Practical experience in constructing financial models and converting complex financial data into clear business insights.

• Familiarity with project-, product-, or business-unit-level cost allocation, margin analysis, and profitability monitoring.

• Demonstrated capability to independently manage financial processes and enhance or establish structures within a growing organization.

• A strong commercial acumen and the ability to link financial performance with operational and strategic business decisions.

• Experience with ERP, accounting, expense management, or financial planning systems, along with reconciling data from multiple sources.

• A high degree of accuracy and financial discipline while maintaining pragmatism and efficiency.

• Robust stakeholder management abilities and confidence in collaborating with senior leadership and external or Group finance functions.

• Proficient in English and German communication skills (minimum B2 level).

• A proactive and self-organized working style with a strong sense of ownership and eagerness to tackle ambiguous challenges.
