Senior Finance Manager, R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide finance support to R&D departments, covering annual planning, forecasting, reporting, financial modeling, and analysis.

• Take ownership of the P&L process and analysis for R&D functions, including headcount, cost of goods sold, infrastructure and hosting expenditures, as well as other operating costs.

• Facilitate coordinated headcount and resource planning that aligns with product roadmaps and company objectives.

• Prepare and deliver financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership.

• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams on cost of goods sold analysis and explore cost-management opportunities.

• Work alongside corporate FP&A on the long-range planning model.

• Establish repeatable business, operational, and financial processes.

• Mentor a senior analyst.

• Assist with strategic initiatives and special projects through financial modeling, analysis, and recommendations.

• Identify and implement AI-driven process enhancements within R&D finance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

• An MBA or CPA is preferred.

• A minimum of eight years of experience in FP&A, Engineering Finance, or a similar field.

• Ideally, experience in high-growth SaaS environments.

• Experience collaborating with engineering or product teams is essential.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure cost drivers is advantageous.

• Demonstrated experience in a senior finance position.

• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.

• Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling.

• Proficient in forecasting methods and advanced Excel functionalities.
