Senior Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic financial leadership across various contracts and operating companies throughout the United States

• Supervise Senior Financial Analysts, the Finance Manager, and indirectly manage Project Accountants

• Collaborate with executive leadership, operational vice presidents, program executives, and corporate stakeholders

• Offer financial guidance, strategic recommendations, and actionable insights for business improvement

• Identify business risks and opportunities while supporting operational and financial objectives

• Assist with strategic initiatives, contract expansions, acquisitions, and business transformation efforts

• Present financial performance, forecasts, and key initiatives to executive leadership

• Lead team coaching, establish performance expectations, development plans, and succession strategies

• Review and validate financial models, forecasts, analyses, and reporting packages

• Direct annual budgeting and monthly forecasting across contracts, operating companies, and business units

• Create integrated financial models and enhance forecast accuracy

• Review and communicate budget, forecast, and actual variances impacting revenue, expenses, EBITDA, and cash flow

• Oversee monthly financial reporting packages, dashboards, KPIs, and executive scorecards

• Monitor contract profitability, labor utilization, revenue realization, and operating margins

• Supervise billing processes, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, collections, contract funding, and working capital

• Lead complex analyses for pricing, contract renewals, investments, operational performance, and growth opportunities

• Support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, business modeling, long-range planning, due diligence, and integration planning

• Drive process improvements, automation, finance transformation, internal controls, governance, and reporting standardization

• Optimize the use of SAP BYD, Anaplan, Power BI, Concur, and other related financial platforms

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in FP&A, contract financial management, corporate finance, or similar finance positions

• At least 2–4 years of leadership experience managing finance professionals

• Required experience in supporting multiple business units, operating companies, or contract-based organizations

• Proven experience in engaging with executive leadership teams and presenting financial information to senior stakeholders

• CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional designation preferred

• Familiarity with enterprise financial systems, including SAP BYD, Anaplan, ADP, Concur, and Power BI preferred

• Advanced capabilities in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis

• Expert-level Excel skills, including scenario modeling and driver-based planning

• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Power BI, and developing executive-level presentations

• Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition principles, billing structures, and accrual accounting

• Experience in developing dashboards, KPIs, and business performance metrics

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and cultivate high-performing finance teams

• Strong executive presence and skill in influencing decision-making at senior levels

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders

• Strategic thinking, business acumen, and adept problem-solving capabilities
