This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of the revenue plan for California, encompassing the comprehensive fundraising strategy, budget, and targets for donor segments, entities, channels, and campaigns throughout the cycle.
• Build relationships, solicit contributions, and nurture high-capacity individual donors, family foundations, labor organizations, and political action committees (PACs).
• Provide guidance to state and national leaders regarding fundraising strategies and donor engagement initiatives.
• Establish the direction and quality standards for the call time program.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop the finance team and consultants in California.
• Create networks of bundlers, host committees, and lead peer-to-peer donor initiatives.
• Collaborate with compliance, legal, and finance operations on contribution limits, entity structures, transfers, and reporting deadlines.
• Formulate event strategies and supervise the execution of events.
• Align fundraising strategies with political, organizing, communications, and individual-giving programs.
• At least 5 years of experience in political or advocacy fundraising, including federal, statewide, or similarly large-scale initiatives.
• Proven success in personally securing major gifts and managing revenue targets for a multimillion-dollar program.
• Capability to develop strategic plans based on realistic assumptions and to make proactive adjustments.
• Possess the credibility and confidence to advise principals, senior elected officials, and high-capacity donors.
• Demonstrate sound judgment to maintain relationships, provide constructive feedback, and make strategic recommendations.
• Experience in managing forecasts and conducting pipeline analysis.
• Proficient in CRM-driven programs, specifically EveryAction.
• Familiarity with California and federal campaign finance regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to juggle competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Skilled at planning backwards from deadlines.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary based on calendar demands.
• Dedication to fostering a party that seeks governing power on behalf of, for, and with working-class individuals of all backgrounds.
