Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of finance data at DrAnsay, encompassing tasks from reconciling invoices and purchase orders to developing financial dashboards.

• Connect invoices to purchase orders and reconcile revenue, payment, and accounting information.

• Prepare and clean historical financial data, providing it to the Accounting team.

• Manage existing, partially undocumented processes, gaining a thorough understanding of them to enhance their reliability.

• Prepare controlling data and present it in a clear visual format.

• Create and advance central finance and company dashboards.

• Perform ad hoc analyses on revenue and other commercial key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure data quality, definitions, and sources are accurate.

• Assist Accounting with the correct usage and interpretation of data.

• Further automate processes when SQL or Python skills are applicable.

• Act as the primary point of contact for revenue and other financial data inquiries.

• Report directly to the Head of Data while working as part of the Data team.

• Work closely with Accounting, Data Engineers, and the Head of Finance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional practical Excel skills, including proficiency in XLOOKUP, PivotTables, or Power Query.

• Approximately two to three years of professional experience, ideally in audit, controlling, or as an analyst.

• Regular experience handling financial or controlling data.

• Experience in preparing financial or controlling data for others.

• Strong business acumen, with an understanding of the distinctions between revenue and cash flow.

• Ability to work independently and navigate processes that are not fully documented.

• Willingness to engage with technical topics and AI-assisted working methods.

• Proficiency in German at C2 level.

• Good command of English; at least B2 level is required in the application.

• Commitment to performing recurring tasks thoroughly and reliably.

• SQL or Python skills are advantageous but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with a BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is a plus.

• Experience in audit, preferably at a Big Four firm, or in Accounting is beneficial.

• Background in a start-up or e-commerce company is an asset.

• A degree in business, economics, or a related field is desirable.

• A valid work permit for Germany will be required during the application process.
