Senior Field Applications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Prepare customers for and execute validation studies on Chemistry and Immunoassay instruments.

• Conduct instrument setup, calibration, precision studies, and method comparisons.

• Offer onsite and remote phone assistance for assay- and QC-related inquiries.

• Deliver onsite training for the correct operation of instrumentation.

• Collaborate with customer Key Operators during validation to enhance training and ensure preparedness.

• Address operational and performance inquiries in accordance with specifications and regulatory standards.

• Work in partnership with Tech Support, Field Service, Sales, and Customer Training teams.

• Report to the Technical Applications Supervisor within the Field Applications Team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree with a minimum of 3+ years of combined experience in laboratory/diagnostic instrumentation or a related field.

• Advanced knowledge of the diagnostics or healthcare sector, particularly concerning the laboratory regulatory environment.

• Willingness to travel up to 95% by flying and/or driving, including overnight stays.

• Primarily domestic travel, with occasional international trips.

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Capability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, and/or place items weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, walk for extended periods, sit, squat, kneel, ascend and descend stairs, and reach with hands and arms.

• A Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science is an advantage.

• Familiarity with standard laboratory management practices, including quality control, record keeping, and regulatory requirements such as CAP, CLIA, and COLA, is a plus.
