Senior Field Applications Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Deliver pre- and post-sales technical assistance to clients for Repligen's downstream product offerings.

• Address customer inquiries regarding technical support.

• Conduct technical seminars and showcase product demonstrations.

• Offer on-site and in-lab support and training.

• Troubleshoot and aid in voice of customer surveys.

• Create and implement project plans utilizing Repligen technologies.

• Compose comprehensive technical reports based on customer interactions.

• Relay customer feedback to product management and R&D for ongoing product enhancement.

• Assist in the generation of application data and marketing collateral.

• Present technical posters and seminars at trade shows, WeChat, and conferences.

• Guide and support customers through the clinical pipeline, from lab-scale to large-scale commercial processes.

• Work in collaboration with sales account managers, product management, quality assurance, marketing, and R&D scientists/engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a BSc degree in a scientific field (biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline).

• At least 5+ years of experience in downstream purification within a development or manufacturing environment in the bioprocessing sector.

• Relevant expertise in filtration and chromatography.

• Familiarity with scale-up/scale-down processes, technology transfer, and cGMP standards.

• Knowledge and experience in Gene/Cell Therapy is advantageous.

• Practical skills in TFF operation and experience with column packing are beneficial.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to forge strong relationships with cross-functional team members and lead by influence.

• Capability to take ownership of results and performance without direct authority.

• Strong attention to detail, exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as multitasking and organizational skills.

• Proficient in drafting and implementing SOPs and work instructions.

• Self-motivated with resourcefulness and creativity in addressing complex field problems.

• Fluency in Chinese and English, encompassing listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills.

• Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically and occasionally internationally.
