Senior Field Application Scientist, Downstream Bioproduction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

• Act as a technical authority in downstream process development.

• Offer extensive support across various technology platforms.

• Cultivate relationships with clients, sales teams, and internal collaborators.

• Conduct technical training sessions.

• Assist customers in achieving their research and development objectives and facilitate solution adoption from laboratory to large-scale bioproduction.

• Support colleagues and spearhead strategic initiatives.

• Relay customer insights to R&D teams to aid in product development.

• Foster technical innovation and contribute to business expansion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree with 6 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree accompanied by 8 years of relevant experience in chromatography or bioprocessing techniques.

• Preferred educational backgrounds include Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Materials Science, Engineering, or another related scientific discipline.

• Proficient technical knowledge in protein purification, chromatography, process development, or similar areas.

• Experience in providing customer-facing technical support and training.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clarify complex concepts to varied audiences.

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical troubleshooting capabilities.

• Project management and organizational proficiency.

• Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating across teams.

• Skills in presentation and technical writing.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional languages are advantageous.

• Willingness to travel up to approximately 50% within the designated territory.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and passport for necessary international travel.

• Experience in downstream method development and optimization.

• Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality systems (GMP, GLP) is preferred.
