Senior Facility Conditions Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute facility evaluations as part of a collaborative team utilizing architectural and/or engineering standards, practices, and methodologies.

• Mobilize, establish, and orient projects effectively.

• Perform visual assessments of buildings, systems, and assets.

• Assess current condition, remaining useful life, and costs for replacement, repair, or renewal.

• Document physical deficiencies according to immediate, short-term, and long-term cost definitions.

• Carry out Facility Condition Assessments in accordance with ASTM E2018-24.

• Facilitate document reviews and interviews, conduct walk-through surveys, and provide opinions on costs to address deficiencies, as well as prepare facility condition reports.

• Evaluate architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within buildings.

• Collect data and record deficient conditions.

• Assist in baseline capital planning, strategic planning, risk assessments, preventative maintenance planning, and asset tagging.

• Work alongside clients and project teams on assessments that may involve single facilities or extensive portfolios of hundreds of facilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management (or a related field); non-degreed Assessors must possess over 10 years of pertinent work experience.

• More than 10 years of experience conducting assessments in accordance with ASTM E2018-24.

• Expertise in engineering and architectural design standards, practices, and methodologies.

• Familiarity with commercial construction codes and their application to existing structures.

• Experience in project definition, planning, and management.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to walk for extended periods (6 to 8 hours a day).

• Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, or crawl to access challenging spaces.

• Capacity to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Subject to a federal background investigation and drug screening.

• Must be able to obtain, maintain, and/or currently hold a security clearance.

• Travel is generally limited to 75%, with some projects necessitating 100% travel.

• Valid REAL ID driver's license with no significant MVA points or violations.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• No visa sponsorship will be provided.
