Senior Facility Condition Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute facility evaluations utilizing architectural and/or engineering standards, methodologies, and techniques.

• Perform visual inspections of buildings, systems, and assets.

• Assess current conditions, remaining useful life, and costs associated with replacement, repair, or renewal.

• Record physical deficiencies based on immediate, short-term, and long-term cost definitions.

• Conduct Facility Condition Assessments in compliance with ASTM E2018-24.

• Oversee document reviews and interviews, conduct walk-through surveys, provide cost opinions, and generate facility condition reports.

• Analyze architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within buildings.

• Collect data and identify deficient conditions.

• Engage in project mobilization, setup, and orientation processes.

• Assist with baseline capital planning for facilities, ranging from individual sites to large portfolios.

• Collaborate as a member of JLL’s Asset Services assessment team, serving healthcare, public and private sectors, developers, owner-occupiers, and investor clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (or a related field); non-degreed Assessors must possess over 10 years of relevant work experience.

• More than 10 years of related experience conducting assessments in adherence to ASTM E2018-24.

• Expertise in engineering and architectural design standards, practices, and techniques.

• Familiarity with commercial construction codes and their application to existing facilities.

• Experience in project definition, planning, and management.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to walk for extended periods (6 to 8 hours/day), climb ladders, kneel, crouch, or crawl to reach challenging spaces, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• May require a federal background investigation and drug screening.

• Must be able to obtain, maintain, and/or currently hold a security clearance.

• Travel is generally limited to 75%, with some projects necessitating 100% travel.

• Possession of a valid REAL ID driver's license with no significant motor vehicle points or violations.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Visa sponsorship is not available.
