This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design and develop data solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, encompassing OneLake, Fabric Pipelines, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Notebooks.
• Construct and enhance scalable ingestion and transformation pipelines with PySpark, Python, and SQL for both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Transition and harmonize data from legacy systems and enterprise platforms.
• Create API-driven and scheduled workflows for both internal and external systems, as well as downstream processing.
• Implement business rules pertaining to learning history, completion status, certifications, compliance, skills, and learner profile data.
• Develop curated, consumption-ready datasets and models for analytics, dashboards, and operational reporting.
• Conduct SQL development and optimization for reporting, analytics, and downstream usage.
• Set up automated data quality checks, reconciliations, monitoring, exception handling, and audit logging.
• Apply secure access controls using Azure AD, RBAC, managed identities, and secure connectivity patterns.
• Assist with CI/CD, code promotion, release management, and operational monitoring in Agile delivery settings.
• Over 7 years of experience in data engineering and enterprise data integration.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and associated Azure data services.
• Strong proficiency in PySpark, SparkSQL, Python, and SQL/T-SQL.
• Proven experience in constructing ingestion and transformation pipelines from APIs, files, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Familiarity with curated data layers, data modeling, and analytics-ready datasets.
• Experience in tuning data pipelines for scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Solid understanding of security, access controls, and data governance practices.
• Proficient in Azure DevOps and Git-based deployment automation.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic delivery environment.
• Comfortable working within remote or hybrid teams that require cross-functional coordination.
