Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Gabon.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the expansion of performance-based maintenance contracting for roadways and bridges

• Create precise and thorough estimates for bids and proposals

• Collect information and firsthand data from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators

• Collaborate with operators and conduct advanced analyses

• Provide leadership with options for decision-making

• Comprehend the business model of performance-based maintenance contracting and project specifications

• Identify key variables for cost and other estimations

• Investigate labor costs, materials, production durations, and associated data

• Employ software tools for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting

• Acquire and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals and quotes

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments

• Generate and submit estimate reports and/or bids to project managers and company leadership

• Cultivate relationships with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers

• Present bids to Company Leadership during gate reviews

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a similar role

• Experience with highway or structures asset maintenance is advantageous

• Extensive knowledge of financial and project management principles

• Profound understanding and experience with research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas

• Proven advanced mathematical and IT skills with a strong analytical mindset

• Expert-level proficiency in relevant software applications (Excel, Power BI, etc.)

• Familiarity with the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

• Exceptional and proven communication and negotiation skills

• High level of integrity, capable of handling sensitive and confidential company information

• Ability to produce work that is comprehensive, dependable, and actionable

• Outstanding organizational skills

• Capacity for self-direction, providing solutions, and responding constructively to feedback

• Availability to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods

• Proficiency in presenting to executives
