Senior Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze and interpret customer bid documents, specifications, and intersection plans.

• Transform customer specifications, special provisions, and requirements into a comprehensive estimated quotation for sales to address specific bids or customer requests.

• Ensure that all technical inquiries regarding the request are posed and resolved to finalize an accurate quotation.

• Utilize the Agile software system to initiate a quote ECO, develop a bill of materials for the intended cabinet, and conduct costing activities to determine the total estimated cost of the cabinet.

• Draft a formal quotation letter utilizing a predefined template.

• Relay necessary information for cabinet engineering to assess provided documents and generate production documents when required.

• Engage in communications from cabinet engineering and production concerning cabinet quotations and bills of materials.

• Complete an item card in the D365 ERP system upon finalization of the quotation for sales usage.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or a minimum of 4 years of traffic-related work experience in a relevant technical Traffic Signal position.

• Must possess a solid understanding of, and ability to work with, plan sheets, bid documents, engineering documents, and specifications.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Proficient in computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management, particularly MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Outstanding verbal and written presentation abilities.

• Fundamental AutoCAD skills are essential.
