Senior Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Collect information and requirements, establish priorities, and prepare work for estimation.

• Conduct quantity takeoffs for materials and labor to formulate production estimates.

• Examine construction drawings and interpret specifications accurately.

• Create comprehensive construction budgets and identify costs for each phase of the project.

• Assess purchase offers, cost modifications, additions, and site requirements against budget limitations.

• Acquire vendor and subcontractor bids, specify materials, identify qualified subcontractors, and negotiate pricing effectively.

• Maintain cost keys and price masters, resolving cost discrepancies through thorough data analysis.

• Generate reports summarizing cost data and project trends.

• Uphold service quality in accordance with organizational standards and procedures.

• Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs across corporate, division, and local teams.

• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and standards.

• Collaborate with Project Management on proposals and Construction Management regarding production rates, schedule milestones, and job sequencing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years is preferred.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Strong budgeting and documentation capabilities.

• Experience in vendor relationship management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.

• Familiarity with Construction Scheduling.

• Ability to develop and manage teams effectively.

• Capability to identify and resolve complex issues.

• Strong decision-making abilities.
