This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Enhance the operational effectiveness and functionality of Information Systems by leveraging expertise in Epic Applications.
• Perform intermediate to advanced tasks including analysis, design, configuration, building, testing, and implementation of Epic applications and various computer programs and systems.
• Convert user and departmental requirements for the Epic system into effective technical solutions.
• Conduct project evaluations and process walkthroughs that integrate technical, clinical, and business solutions.
• Offer technical expertise and support for Epic, other software applications, and operating systems.
• Utilize information systems theory, processes, and methodologies effectively.
• Champion and uphold standards for technical development, application support, and information management.
• Assist in development projects and tackle complex problem-solving tasks involving Epic and additional applications.
• Participate in rotating after-hours technical support duties.
• Provide continuous Epic support to users.
• Plan, prioritize, and execute projects in alignment with established schedules and deadlines.
• Organize assigned projects and maintain documentation regarding plans, priorities, and timelines.
• Keep the Manager regularly updated on the status of project assignments.
• Contribute to the preparation and delivery of staff training sessions.
• Act as a technical resource on Epic and take on higher-level project responsibilities.
• Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource for less experienced team members.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
• An associate's degree is preferred.
• Epic Certification is mandatory.
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in large-scale corporate systems development and implementation within Healthcare Information Systems (MIS) or similar experience in system analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation, or a blend of MIS experience and knowledge of hospital operations is required.
• Industry training and progressively responsible experience demonstrating knowledge and skills in a large, complex corporate Information System.
• Previous experience with Epic or other Health Information Systems is essential.
• Experience in resolving complex issues is necessary.
• Experience in assisting fellow Analysts is required.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Epic application support, development tools, and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude are essential.
• Proficient planning and organizational skills are necessary.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills are required.
• A proven track record of growth in leadership abilities is necessary.
• Epic Certification is required.
• Encourages individual professional growth and development through mandatory and continuing education as well as skills competency.
