Senior Environmental Professional

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Concentrate on air permitting and reporting within California.

• Report directly to the principal overseeing California permitting and compliance services while collaborating with a team of ten professionals.

• Execute air permitting, emission inventories, GHG management, compliance management programs, compliance audits, supervision of junior staff, regulatory development, and compliance strategies, field audits, project management, and budgeting.

• Manage multiple projects concurrently and act as the senior technical lead.

• Oversee staff-level professionals and technicians.

• Assess staffing requirements, delegate tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure uniform adherence to firm standards.

• Coordinate the operations of technical staff by assigning, monitoring, and evaluating their work.

• Offer technical support and direct team efforts.

• Supervise project document deliverables, technical report writing, data analysis, and graphical presentations.

• Collaborate with clients to develop plans, reports, and assessments.

• Independently assess, select, adapt, and modify standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

• Manage project budgets and timelines, completing tasks within designated timeframes.

• Serve as the client manager, understand client requirements, and distribute tasks and proposals to the appropriate teams.

• Communicate any issues to leadership that may impact schedules and budgets.

• Maintain confidentiality.

• Stay updated on industry trends through training, publications, and workshops.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Science or Engineering, or at least 10 years of relevant experience.

• Associate of Science degree in Science or Engineering, or a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.

• Proven experience in project, client, and program management, along with air quality permitting experience in California.

• Certification as an Agency Permitting Professional, such as SCAQMD Certified Permitting Professional (CPP), is preferred but not mandatory.
