Senior Engineering Manager – Containers, Kubernetes, Confidential Computing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the team developing platform software utilizing open-source Container runtimes, Kubernetes, Kata, and Confidential Container technologies.

• Investigate creative methods to simplify the development, deployment, and monitoring of GPU-accelerated applications.

• Facilitate the integration of GPUs as primary resources within Kubernetes, Kata Containers, and Confidential Containers.

• Collaborate with the core team on Cloud Native technologies to enable NVIDIA accelerators in the Kubernetes ecosystem.

• Work in partnership with engineering teams across NVIDIA to ensure seamless software integration throughout the entire stack.

• Manage multiple projects concurrently to adapt to changing priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• At least 12 years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to leading high-performing engineering teams.

• Strong expertise in Container Orchestration Systems (K8s) and Container Technology.

• Proficient in systems programming languages such as Rust and Go, with a solid foundation in data structures and algorithm design.

• Familiarity with the internal workings of Unix/Unix-like kernels, including Linux.

• Extensive background in Cloud Computing and the design and development of Distributed Software.

• Understanding of performance, security, and reliability aspects in complex distributed systems.

• Significant recent experience managing engineering teams focused on Containers, Kubernetes, and Confidential Computing technologies.

• Practical, hands-on experience with Containers and Kubernetes in real-world scenarios.

• Proficient in Kata Containers and Container sandboxing technologies.

• Knowledgeable in Attestation concepts, Key Broker Service, and other related areas.

• Well-versed in virtualization technologies, including SR-IOV and vGPU.
