This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the installation, configuration, and lifecycle management of NetBox Enterprise, a suite of on-premises products.
• Design, architect, and implement high-availability on-premises solutions based on Kubernetes, which includes control plane applications, telemetry systems, air-gapped installations, and appliance offerings.
• Extend and maintain the Kubernetes operator responsible for installing, upgrading, and healing NetBox Enterprise in client environments.
• Develop and sustain the operational management console along with related lifecycle-management tools.
• Architect and implement multi-stage CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and other complementary DevOps technologies.
• Manage releases on a six-week schedule, which encompasses versioning strategies and structured release management.
• Write code in Rust and Python across the stack, covering operator internals, internal tooling, and APIs.
• Create internal tooling and APIs for integration testing that will be used by upstream application teams.
• Develop documentation and best-practice guidelines for deployment.
• Act weekly as the Engineering Guardian, addressing inquiries and escalations while diagnosing operational issues alongside Customer Success and clients.
• A minimum of 5 years in software engineering, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering (SRE), with a proven track record of writing robust and maintainable code.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Kubernetes, Helm charts, and deployment automation, including managing complex multi-cluster and multi-region deployments.
• Hands-on experience in building within an AI-augmented development environment, including familiarity with Claude Code and workflows that ensure the reliability of agentic tooling.
• Strong proficiency in Python for tooling, APIs, and automation tasks.
• Practical experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitOps delivery mechanisms like ArgoCD or FluxCD, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux systems, covering system administration, troubleshooting, and networking aspects.
• Solid understanding of software supply chain security, including skills in vulnerability scanning and CVE management, utilizing tools such as Trivy, Dependabot, and GitHub code scanning.
