
Senior Engineer – Outage Coordination

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Oversee and manage significant projects or field assignments with intricate characteristics.
• Conduct engineering analyses and studies.
• Suggest solutions for engineering-related challenges.
• Create models to enhance improvement programs.
• Execute system analyses utilizing operational criteria and tools (CYME, EMS).
• Collaborate closely with the system study engineer and project scheduler to guarantee the precision of the long-term shutdown schedule.
• Facilitate and lead meetings to review huddle and shutdown schedules.
• Organize and lead cross-functional team meetings for complex and consecutive shutdowns within the same areas or regions.
• Advocate for continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing shutdowns and coordinating resources.
• Assess the impacts of shutdowns and strategize on how to group planned outages effectively.
• Perform contingency plan analyses and power flow assessments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• At least 4 years of experience in electric utility transmission and substation planning.
• Familiarity with systems such as CYME, EMS, and TARA/PSSE, or ADMS.
