Senior Engineer I, Compute

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Create and execute high-performance distributed control plane services utilizing Go.

• Oversee technical implementation for intricate project workflows from conception to launch.

• Construct scalable microservice interfaces employing gRPC and REST.

• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers through technical advice and structured code evaluations.

• Address edge cases in distributed systems and resolve operational bottlenecks.

• Enhance build pipelines, service demarcations, and operational processes.

• Engage in on-call operational support and system oversight.

• Diagnose production incidents and uphold high platform availability.

• Report to Mavis Franco, Manager of Software Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Go, microservices architecture, and distributed control plane systems or low-latency infrastructure APIs.

• Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, or cloud-native infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes or Firecracker.

• Strong grasp of distributed systems principles and concurrency patterns.

• Experience in network performance optimization within Linux environments.

• Capability to lead complex projects and decompose problems into manageable features.

• Ability to mentor fellow engineers.
