Senior Engineer I, Compute

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design and develop high-performance distributed control plane services utilizing Go.

• Oversee the technical execution of intricate project workstreams from the design phase to release.

• Create scalable microservice interfaces using gRPC and REST technologies.

• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and organized code reviews.

• Address edge cases in distributed systems and resolve operational bottlenecks.

• Enhance build pipelines, service boundaries, and operational workflows.

• Engage in on-call operational support and system monitoring activities.

• Diagnose production incidents to maintain high platform availability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Go, microservices architecture, and distributed control plane systems or low-latency infrastructure APIs.

• Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, or cloud-native infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes or Firecracker.

• Extensive knowledge of distributed systems principles, concurrency patterns, and network performance optimization in Linux environments.

• Proven ability to lead complex projects and decompose isolated issues into actionable features.

• Capable of mentoring engineers and promoting team efficiency.

• Possess a growth mindset and a strong desire to learn.
