Senior Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that gather, transform, and deliver data from both internal and external sources.

• Develop and enhance data models and schemas that support analytics, reporting, and the requirements of downstream applications.

• Monitor the health of pipelines, troubleshoot data quality issues, and implement practices for alerting and observability.

• Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams to convert data requirements into robust data solutions.

• Enhance the performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of the existing data infrastructure.

• Create technical documentation and contribute to standards for testing, code reviews, and deployment procedures.

• Participate in on-call or incident response rotations as necessary to support production data systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related field.

• Strong expertise in SQL and at least one programming language commonly utilized in data engineering (e.g., Python, Scala, or Java).

• Practical experience in building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines within a production setting.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and contemporary data warehousing tools.

• Comprehensive understanding of data modeling, data quality, and pipeline orchestration concepts.

• Ability to work with large, complex datasets and independently troubleshoot data issues.

• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).

• Experience with dbt or comparable transformation frameworks.

• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code methodologies (e.g., Terraform).

• Previous experience supporting analytics or data science teams directly.
