Senior Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as a technical reference for the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable solutions.

• Serve as a connector between technical innovation, data security, and business outcomes.

• Collaborate within a stable team on the architecture and progressive enhancement of solutions over time.

• Take ownership of the architecture of distributed, cloud-native systems from start to finish, utilizing infrastructure-as-code with AWS CDK through to production operations.

• Produce Architecture Decision Records to establish enduring technical standards.

• Convert vague business requirements into well-defined, actionable technical plans.

• Foster alignment among product and engineering stakeholders.

• Elevate the technical standards of the team through code reviews, design evaluations, and mentorship.

• Assume responsibility for the professional development of engineers on the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English at a C1 level or above.

• Significant experience in professional software development, excluding internships.

• Extensive programming expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Proven experience in leading the design or architecture of both new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scalability.

• Familiarity with developing cloud-native applications and platforms utilizing AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, AWS Bedrock, SQS, SNS, and ECS.

• Capability to make architectural choices regarding cost, performance, and scalability.

• Experience or enthusiasm for generative AI.

• Background as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.

• Proven track record in leading the design, construction, and deployment of complex, high-performing, reliable, and scalable software solutions in production.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (preferred).

• Experience across the complete software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations (preferred).

• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK (preferred).

• Experience with AI tools such as Claude Code or Cursor (preferred).

• Experience in building or integrating AI agents using orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar (preferred).
