Senior Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of a system, feature area, or a broader technical domain.

• Make informed trade-off decisions that balance customer needs with business costs.

• Utilize and enhance the company's agentic framework through prompts, configurations, workflows, and guardrails.

• Anticipate AI-specific failure scenarios such as hallucination, drift, and prompt injection.

• Ensure quality in the designated area, enhance automated agentic testing, and minimize escaped defects.

• Facilitate design discussions and produce comprehensive design documentation.

• Mentor and guide engineers in effectively using the framework.

• Influence decisions across various pods and spearhead cross-pod initiatives.

• Provide counsel to engineering leadership and establish technical strategies on a wider scale.

• Drive experiments and compile insights for the benefit of others.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience, demonstrating a history of owning a system or feature area.

• Proficient daily use of AI-assisted development, with code that you understand and can advocate for.

• Proven experience in mentoring fellow engineers and leading design discussions.

• Experience in maintaining quality for a production area, including oversight of automated testing and tracking escaped defect trends.

• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to create design documents that are relied upon by other engineers.
