Senior Engineer, AI Cyber Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain detection systems for prompt injection, model extraction, training data poisoning, and adversarial input attacks.

• Create and uphold AI security monitoring pipelines that correlate signals across LLM interactions, API gateways, and model inference endpoints.

• Construct automated response playbooks that include model quarantine, token revocation, and session termination.

• Investigate emerging AI attack vectors and convert findings into detection signatures and preventive measures.

• Operate and fine-tune CrowdStrike AI Runtime Defense and Microsoft Purview AI governance controls.

• Implement security measures across AWS SageMaker, Azure OpenAI, Databricks, and internal ML pipelines.

• Secure model training environments through data access controls, compute isolation, artifact signing, and integrity verification of pipelines.

• Develop generative AI guardrails that encompass content filtering, DLP integration, output validation, and session-level access controls.

• Design and enforce governance controls for AI models, focusing on model registry security, integrity of version control, and deployment approval gates.

• Conduct security architecture reviews for new AI services and integrations.

• Carry out technical AI risk assessments utilizing MITRE ATLAS, OWASP AI Top 10, and NIST AI RMF frameworks.

• Execute adversarial testing and red teaming of AI models and applications integrated with AI.

• Formulate AI security standards, reference architectures, and guidelines for secure development.

• Assess third-party AI services and vendor integrations for their security posture, data management, and supply chain integrity.

• Create AI-driven security tools and integrations for threat correlation, threat hunting, alert triage, and incident investigation.

• Contribute to internal AI capabilities, including MCP server development, agent frameworks, and security data pipelines.

• Develop and maintain security scoring engines and models for risk quantification.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of combined experience in cybersecurity engineering, software engineering, and/or AI/ML systems.

• Proven expertise in at least three of the following areas: AI/ML Security; Cloud Security Engineering; Application Security; Security Operations.

• Hands-on experience with Python and a track record of developing production security tools and automation.

• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and LangChain.

• Experience with AI cloud services including SageMaker, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, and Databricks.

• Working knowledge of frameworks like MITRE ATLAS, OWASP AI Top 10, and NIST AI RMF.

• Experience with enterprise security platforms like CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Okta, Zscaler, CyberArk, or similar.

• Strong grasp of LLM architectures, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), fine-tuning security implications, and agentic AI patterns.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related technical field is required.
