Cybersecurity Intern – Application Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Participate in comprehensive in-house training programs.

• Collaborate closely with leading experts in the industry to deliver cybersecurity services.

• Engage in projects that develop security expertise and skills.

• Contribute to the GuidePoint University program and the Application Security Practice.

• Acquire hands-on technical training, gain real-world security response experience, collaborate on projects, and engage in team or position shadowing.

• Take part in vendor training sessions and certification programs led by partners.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside within the United States for the duration of the internship.

• A foundational understanding of information technology, networking, operating systems, and security; this knowledge must be clearly demonstrated in the resume and application.

• Familiarity with one or more programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar.

• A keen interest in reading and analyzing code.

• A true passion for information security.

• Motivation and a strong desire to acquire new skills.

• Willingness to learn and utilize AI-enhanced tools.

• Evidence of commitment to pursuing cybersecurity, such as obtaining certifications, attending training sessions, pursuing formal education, participating in industry organizations, or contributing to personal or industry-related projects.

• Residents of Alaska, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming are not eligible for this position.

• A personal computing device and access to high-speed internet are required during work hours.

• Availability to work most hours between 11 am and 4 pm EST, Monday through Friday.

• Must be able to work 25–29 hours per week.
