This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide development assistance, conceptual design, and owner's engineer services for electric power initiatives.
• Conduct technical assessments of electric power generation projects and facilities.
• Create solutions to fulfill project management objectives and client needs.
• Perform engineering design reviews and technical due diligence.
• Assist in project development and conceptual design.
• Aid in project economic analysis, cost evaluations, risk assessments, and contract formulation.
• Collaborate with project management on financials, schedule updates, risk mitigation strategies, contract backlogs, project status, and staffing plans.
• Offer high-level coordination, administrative, and analytical support to the project team.
• Participate in internal and client project meetings at the discretion of the Project Manager.
• Help with scheduling deadlines and maintaining timelines for project deliverables across multiple initiatives.
• Lead efforts to apply data, automation, and AI to enhance engineering processes and minimize rework.
• Oversee automation and process improvement initiatives, including automating calculations, summarizing technical documents, and producing design documentation.
• Advise on the appropriate use of AI or agentic AI tools while ensuring the accuracy of results.
• Supervise engineers responsible for programming or scripting automation tools and evaluate automated outputs.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Acceptable disciplines include electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering.
• A minimum of 7 years of independent engineering experience in power projects and/or experience in the development of power projects.
• Familiarity with various power generation technologies, including thermal and renewable sources.
• Ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and perform under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office tools, particularly advanced MS Excel for creating detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Competency in interacting and multitasking with project team members, clients, and vendors at varying levels of hierarchy.
• No sponsorship for U.S. work authorization available.
• Experience in drafting technical reports and proposals.
• Strong project planning and leadership skills.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Background in owner’s engineering activities during power project execution is advantageous but not required.
• Experience in project finance or financial modeling related to power projects is a plus.
• Willingness or ability to guide others in using automation and AI tools.
• Experience in overseeing engineers programming or scripting in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel is valued but not required.
• Additional qualifications such as a minor, certificate, or experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields are appreciated.
