Project Manager – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee all aspects of project management for commercial real estate initiatives, covering planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases.

• Collaborate directly with clients to develop the scope of work, determine project delivery resource needs, prepare cost estimates and budgets, create work plan schedules and milestones, ensure quality control, and identify risks.

• Establish project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or via the project qualification process.

• Execute requests for proposals, conduct bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.

• Enforce project documentation governance in accordance with company and client standards.

• Maintain the accuracy, timeliness, and coordination of project data and documentation.

• Formulate action plans to achieve objectives while adhering to budget and scheduling requirements.

• Monitor project progress and communicate status updates and variances.

• Recognize project risks and devise risk mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Implement measures to minimize or eliminate project risks.

• Utilize standard principles and techniques to tackle complex tasks and deliver innovative solutions.

• Provide mentorship and share expertise with others.

• Exemplify and embody CBRE RISE values through leadership.

• Foster consensus and persuade others to achieve agreement.

• Influence customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams.

• Travel approximately 25% to client locations nationwide.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, both now and in the future.

• Preferred Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of pertinent experience.

• Equivalent experience and education may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Preferred designations include LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM.

• Experience in managing retail commercial real estate construction projects.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Familiarity with Smartsheet is advantageous.

• General understanding of leases, contracts, and construction practices.

• Capability to read and interpret architectural drawings.

• Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with an inquisitive approach.
