Project Manager – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Deliver consulting services to a retail client account to aid in achieving strategic business goals.

• Oversee retail fit-out and relocation projects from the initial phase to completion.

• Manage the planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases for commercial real estate projects.

• Engage directly with clients to develop the scope of work, project delivery resource needs, cost estimates and budgets, schedules and milestones, quality control measures, and risk identification.

• Determine project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process.

• Conduct requests for proposals, carry out bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.

• Establish governance for project documentation in alignment with company and client requirements.

• Ensure the integrity of project data and maintain accurate, timely, and coordinated documentation.

• Develop action plans to fulfill objectives, budgets, and schedules.

• Monitor project progress and provide status updates and variances.

• Recognize project threats and create risk mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Execute plans to minimize or eliminate project risks.

• Utilize standard principles and techniques to tackle complex assignments and deliver innovative solutions.

• Mentor colleagues and share expertise.

• Exemplify leadership by modeling CBRE RISE values.

• Build consensus and persuade others to achieve agreement.

• Influence customer, operational, project, and service activities within your team and related teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, accompanied by 5–8 years of pertinent experience.

• A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designations are preferred.

• Experience in retail commercial real estate construction project management is essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.

• Familiarity with Smartsheet is advantageous.

• General understanding of leases, contracts, and construction practices is necessary.

• Capability to interpret architectural drawings is important.

• Strong interpersonal skills coupled with an advanced inquisitive mindset are essential.
