This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design and create digital and mixed-signal electronic systems for embedded hardware platforms.
• Develop hardware architectures, schematics, interface circuits, and subsystem designs.
• Conduct component selection, circuit analysis, and optimization of designs.
• Review PCB layouts for signal integrity, power integrity, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Design and integrate high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR3/DDR4/DDR5, Ethernet, USB, and SerDes.
• Create power supply units (PSUs) for various power rails and RF interfaces.
• Perform pre-layout and post-layout design analysis.
• Execute SPICE-based circuit simulations along with signal integrity and power integrity analysis.
• Assist in worst-case analysis, timing verification, and assessment of design margins.
• Oversee board bring-up, debugging, and system integration tasks.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshoot hardware-related issues.
• Carry out functional, environmental, reliability, safety, and compliance testing.
• Utilize oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other relevant laboratory equipment.
• Document validation plans, test procedures, and verification outcomes.
• Aid in manufacturing transfer and production ramp activities.
• Address field and production hardware challenges.
• Lead failure analysis and investigations into corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Proficiency in digital and mixed-signal electronic design.
• Experience in designing embedded electronic hardware systems.
• Understanding of hardware architectures, schematics, interface circuits, and subsystem designs.
• Expertise in component selection, circuit analysis, and design optimization.
• Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, manufacturability, and reliability principles.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR3/DDR4/DDR5, Ethernet, USB, and SerDes.
• Experience in designing PSUs for diverse power rails and RF interfaces.
• Proficient in SPICE-based circuit simulations and industry-standard design software.
• Knowledge of timing verification, worst-case analysis, and design margin assessment.
• Experience in board bring-up, debugging, and system integration.
• Ability to conduct functional, environmental, reliability, safety, and compliance testing.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and related laboratory equipment.
• Capability to lead failure analysis, corrective action investigations, manufacturing transfers, and production ramp activities.
• Immediate availability required.
