This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Assist the North American Service Distribution Team
β’ Create, specify, and implement material handling systems for customer projects across North America
β’ Upgrade existing customer facilities with intricate automated material handling systems
β’ Ensure that designs fulfill customer specifications and collaborate with other trades
β’ Develop compliant electrical and process control systems that adhere to customer specifications and safety standards
β’ Conduct peer reviews of fellow engineers' designs
β’ Enhance system performance from the initial design phase to a functional electrical design while staying within budget
β’ Design, evaluate, and authorize calculations at both system and component levels
β’ Design, assess, and approve intricate PLC-based process control systems
β’ Engineer project-specific solutions for non-standard design applications
β’ Specify, examine, and authorize electrical and process control equipment
β’ Utilize AutoCAD Electrical, Word, Excel, and associated tools to develop wiring diagrams, termination lists, and bills of materials
β’ Record engineering decisions through design plans, installation documents, and engineering instructions
β’ Perform site surveys as necessary
β’ Provide support for installation and commissioning both on-site and from a home office
β’ Manage project documentation control using a rights-based database system
β’ Collaborate with mechanical, controls, supply chain, installation, and additional teams
β’ Promote process enhancements and assist in project completion
β’ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology, or an Associate's degree in EE/ET with 12 years of relevant experience
β’ At least 8 years of relevant work experience, which includes 4 years in the material handling or another process industry
β’ Willingness and capability to travel domestically up to 30%
β’ Proficient in designing compliant electrical and process control systems
β’ Ability to guide others and rationalize designs based on engineering judgment, industry practices, codes, and standards
β’ Excellent communication, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
β’ Capable of working independently or as part of a team while working remotely
β’ Experience in project management or leading teams
β’ Familiarity with project planning and deliverables tracking tools
β’ Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or other drafting tools
β’ Competent in using the Autodesk Suite, including Navisworks
β’ In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering and system process control theories and principles
β’ Advanced understanding/experience with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code)
β’ Experience in designing low-voltage power distribution and process control systems
