Senior Electrical Physical Designer 2 – Energy & Industrial

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, modify, and/or enhance both new and existing electrical systems for power plants.

• Collaborate and guide team members within a project setting under the supervision of the Electrical Project Lead.

• Create cable schedules, grounding layouts, conduit routing, support designs for conduits and junction boxes, and electrical equipment positioning/mounting.

• Generate physical electrical drawings.

• Review vendor drawings and integrate them into the overall project design.

• Support engineers with initial design specifications.

• Create physical construction layout drawings.

• Participate in field walkdowns and assist in data collection at client sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's Degree in drafting or a high school diploma paired with equivalent technical design experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of comprehensive physical design experience.

• Proficiency in developing grounding layouts, underground duct bank and embedded conduit drawings, cable tray and exposed conduit layouts, as well as electrical equipment location drawings.

• Experience in reviewing electrical physical layout drawings that include electrical equipment outlines and interface points.

• Extensive experience with Microstation and/or AutoCAD design in power plants or significant facility projects.

• In-depth knowledge of drafting and design practices and principles.

• Capability to interact and communicate effectively with engineering and design teams from various disciplines throughout the power plant design process.

• Must not require employer sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S.
