This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide comprehensive user experience and visual design solutions for Global Navigation and Search interfaces.
• Adapt between navigation and search workstreams as team capacity and business requirements evolve.
• Collaborate with surface design leaders on intricate UX challenges, interface architecture, and visual execution.
• Ensure visual and interaction uniformity between navigation and search elements.
• Work alongside the design system team to develop UI patterns, components, and documentation.
• Quickly integrate existing research, context, and technical limitations when transitioning between workstreams.
• Act as a flexible individual contributor to support the Unified Experience Core portfolio at Lilly.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent practical design experience.
• A robust digital design portfolio showcasing visual craftsmanship and comprehensive UX problem-solving abilities.
• Expertise in modern design and prototyping tools, such as Figma.
• Experience working within a collaborative, contribution-driven design system workflow.
• 3–6+ years of experience in digital product design across enterprise-level, complex web applications, or extensive digital ecosystems.
• Familiarity with context-shifting or embedded agency/consulting models.
• Proven experience contributing directly to component-based design systems and shared pattern libraries.
• Strong professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to clearly explain complex design decisions to non-design executives, engineering leaders, and business stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience in designing enterprise search interfaces, discovery experiences, or large-scale global header/footer navigation structures.
• Preferred: understanding of complex digital ecosystems in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated enterprise settings.
• Preferred: knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA and modular content architectures.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
