Senior Electrical Designer 2 – Nuclear Power

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Operate in a remote project team setting

• Design, modify, and enhance both new and existing electrical systems for power plants

• Create single-line diagrams, relay and metering diagrams, AC and DC schematics, synchronizing diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams, and cable schedules

• Generate electrical wiring drawings

• Evaluate and integrate vendor drawings into the overall project framework

• Participate in field walkdowns and assist in data collection at client locations

• Work under the guidance of the Electrical Project Lead

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design project teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree in drafting or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience

• Over 10 years of precise wiring design experience in developing single-line and relay and metering diagrams, including medium-voltage and 480V systems

• Knowledge of digital control systems

• Capability to create wiring diagrams and schematics for installers and electricians

• Ability to support engineers with initial design specifications

• Skill in conceptualizing plans and details to accurately communicate wiring termination requirements

• Significant experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation design on power plants or large facility projects

• Comprehensive understanding of drafting and design practices and principles

• Proficient in interfacing and communicating with engineering and design teams from other disciplines during the power plant design process

• Must be able to obtain badging for unescorted access to a nuclear facility

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; the employer does not provide work visa sponsorship
