
Senior Documentation and Funding Officer – Equipment Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare, review, fund, and record highly intricate commercial loan and lease transactions.
• Process transfers and assumptions, modifications, collateral substitutions, name changes, UCC terminations, and UCC continuations.
• Act as a backup for the Documentation and Funding Manager by overseeing workflow and authorizing wire transfers.
• Obtain, evaluate, and resolve outstanding documentation conditions with internal stakeholders and external parties.
• Inspect documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to credit requirements prior to funding.
• Function as an escalation point for complex documentation, funding, transaction structure, collateral, and booking challenges.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development for less experienced team members.
• Establish and uphold departmental controls, quality standards, operating procedures, and performance expectations.
• Review and authorize documentation exceptions, funding exceptions, and transaction-related concerns within delegated authority.
• Collaborate with Sales, Credit, Operations, Legal, Servicing, and executive leadership.
• Drive process improvements, operational efficiency, risk management, technology implementation, and compliance with regulations.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to loan funding and documentation.
• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as necessary.
• Bachelor’s Degree and over 8 years of experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, documentation, funding, loan operations, banking operations, or similar financial services roles; or a High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership, supervisory, or team lead capacity.
• Advanced understanding of commercial loan and lease documentation, transaction funding, collateral structures, and operational controls.
• Proven experience managing highly complex commercial transactions and operational workflows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Minimal anticipated travel required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Preferred: Over 10 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: 4+ years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team lead role.
• Preferred: Experience with syndicated transactions, structured finance transactions, or specialty lending products.
• Preferred: Background in supporting audits, examinations, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Preferred: Industry certifications related to equipment finance, commercial banking, or leadership development.
