Senior DNS Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop control plane software for the DNS Products division

• Create and maintain APIs

• Diagnose and enhance the customer experience

• Collaborate with the team to take ownership of product offerings from start to finish

• Implement, test, and optimize scalable services and tools

• Address performance and monitoring challenges

• Work with Networking teams to design products and services tailored for developers

• Support existing products and provide solutions to identified issues

• Enhance tooling and processes for critical ecosystem components

• Establish best practices in development and architecture

• Utilize technologies such as Go, Consul, Kafka, SQL, Chef, Git, Jira, gRPC, Prometheus, Grafana, Lightstep, Docker, DNS, and Kubernetes

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and developing full-stack applications utilizing databases and APIs

• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives across multiple teams to establish API contracts

• Experience in deploying and managing Linux (Ubuntu)-based virtual and bare metal environments

• Proficiency in the Go programming language and unit testing

• Some experience in designing and developing high-performance systems

• Domain expertise in DNS and Networking stack or a strong eagerness to learn

• Familiarity with cloud development, containerization, and virtualization

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) practices

• Bonus: Experience leveraging gRPC to create robust distributed systems under high demand

• Bonus: Practical knowledge of Temporal and Kafka

• B.S/M.S in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience
